One Small Favor
DK Hadayag
It was supposed to be just another small favor.
Miguel Aragón, a retired bus driver, joins a volunteer initiative in Barcelona. He agrees to a simple request: help an elderly woman clear books out of her apartment. A few hours of work, a brief encounter, another good deed that no one will remember a week later.
But during the visit, a brown envelope is placed in his hands.
Inside is something that takes him back to a rainy night nine years earlier. A night when two cars collided on a road near Barcelona, leaving behind memories that don't always agree.
Elsewhere in the city, Laura Costa, a young journalism student, begins asking questions about that same night.
At first, the answers seem straightforward. But the deeper she digs, the clearer it becomes that everyone has their own version of events—and not everyone remains silent for the same reason.
One Small Favor is a twist-filled psychological thriller about memory, guilt, and trust—and the secrets people are willing to keep, even from those closest to them.
Because sometimes the greatest secret lies hidden behind the smallest act.
